The great thing about making art, strictly for your own consumption, is that you get to taste it. This is my favorite non-photoshoped photograph I have ever done.
True, there is nothing spectacular about it. I didn't even set-up the shoes. It took no work, but it delights me. Could it be a long-buried foot-fetish rising to the top?
Doubtful. I fucked a few shoes back in college, didn't do much for me. Also, I prefer pumps to loafers, and platforms trump all. If you know me at all, you know this.
Perhaps it is because there are only single shoes on display, and I am curious where their partners have gone?
I dunno, but it is tre rad.

I like this shit, tons. Portraiture is, unfortunately, my strong suit. Candid portraiture, I am also good at. I don't know what the ethics are, however. I didn't get a release for this, and I might try. It could do well in stock land.
I have a great candid of a man with a clubbed foot, but I also don't want to approach him for a release. Although, I could buy him off fairly easily. I need an assistant, a humane one. Someone who can turn bribing the homeless into signing my release forms into an act of charity and kindness.
Anyway, it's all about the tones, i dig this shot.
